The Spiderwick Chronicles

The Spiderwick Chronicles is a children's fantasy film, nothing more and nothing less. It is relatively watchable, but don't expect too much.

The film has some interesting aspects. For example, one child actor plays two characters - twin brothers. His performance is very good, because he manages to get across the different personalities of the two brothers. Overall, actor performances are good in this film.

The film manages to work with the story in a good and easy-to-follow way, meaning that the result is watchable and maybe even enjoyable, especially for children. It is one of the more scary children's films, but it should be alright for most small school kids.

The Spiderwick Chronicles is a nice film for children, and adults are welcome to watch it with their little kin, but that is probably the only reason for watching it adults will ever have.
