Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason

Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason is yet another of unsuccessful sequels.

It is actually quite nice to watch, and it has some good moments, but there is nothing more to it - it's just a story. It is not layered with jokes and funny allusions like its predecessor, and the story is a bit tedious and repetitive at times. There are some attempts at using similar narrative techniques as the first film, but it is done in an asymmetrical way, making the structure suffer.

Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason is nothing special, but it might be of interest to those who like romantic comedy films. It is quite an endearing story, but the film brings nothing new to it.
